Wednesday DT challenge

Here is my take on the scented card challenge. I used true thyme for the base and stamped my C.C.Designs striped background with vanilla craft. On the right side at the opening, I distressed the edge. The scallop was done with my rectangle scallop nestabilies die in river rock. I cut off the side scallops. There is stardust stickles on the bananas. The card scents is banana scented and you can get them at All That Scraps! Yummy! She has lots of other scents and they last forever! Thanks for looking! I am hoping to have my new release stamps in the mail today to start creating for next weeks sneak peeks! Super fun stuff, you won't want to miss it! Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities!

Wednesday DT challenge

The challenge this week was a sketch. How fun is this one? I had a blast playing with my toys! (I mean tools) I asked my hubby last night if he thought I would ever grow up and quit playing with toys and coloring. He seems to think I am a lost cause. Haa haa. The base is creamy caramel stamped with my polka dot bg (C.C.Designs) in really rust. My copic markers are my favorite play toy now! I used prima flowers and airbrushed them. The tiny buttons in the center of the flowers were covered with stardust stickles. The SU hodgepodge brad in the center of the big flower was colored with my copic markers. Sooooooo coool! The little tag is chipboard cut out with a small tag cuttlebug die. It is stamped with chocolate chip craft ink and embossed with clear ep. The stamp is from the new C.C. Designs sentiment set! I love that thing, there are so many sentiments. I made a scallop border behind it with my new cuttlebug border embossing folder. Super fun! I wanted the zig zag stitching to be with linen thread so I unthreaded my sewing machine and stitched around the SU dp. After it was stitched I hand stitched the zig zag with my linen thread. Easy peasy and all the holes were in the paper. Go over to the All That Scraps Blog to see what the other girls did. If you want to play along, we would love to have you!

Review Preview Friday's 08/15 Bear Hugs

Christine decided it would be fun to have a review preview on Friday and give you another peek at the new release sets! There is going to be a gift certificate giveaway! Fun huh? If you go over to the All That Scraps blog you can get the details. There will be links to all of the players for today. I needed a little album to put my cute baby pics of Eastton. You know Grandma brag book? I found this little album in the dollar spot at Michaels eons ago. I altered it and now it is the perfect place to put little wallet sized photos of my precious grandson. I used Bear hugs for the bear and our fabulous new sentiment set for the You make my heart happy. Designer paper is retired SU. Ribbon from a Jody ribbon share. I used SU buttons, but they were the wrong color so I inked 'em with my chocolate chip craft ink and let them dry and then distressed them a bit. The little ties on them are linen thread from SU. I used my cropadile to punch the holes through the album to secure the hodgpodge hardware brads. Have a super fabulous weekend and enjoy the possibilities!

So the verdict is in! He is adorable and he is a little piggy! He started at 8 lbs. 3 0z. and now he is 12 lbs 3 oz and climbing fast. They also discovered a problem. His umbilical cord formed wrong and he is now leaking urine out of his belly button. The only way to fix it is to have surgery. We are waiting from word from the Dr. to find out when they want to do it. We are going to have to take him to Primary Children's hospital in Salt Lake City. Poor kid. I love this pic of him sleeping on Auntie Andrea. Check back tomorrow and I will have another bear project to show you! Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities.

Wednesday DT challenge

This is my first try at a suspension card. It was so much fun! I will for sure be making more of these. These bee's from the Bear Hugs set just make me smile. I think most of this is self explanatory. I got the instuctions for the suspension card at SCS. I glued tiny seed pearls to the centers of the prima flowers with crystal effects. The bee is colored with copic markers and used my Sakura gelly roll glitter pen to do the wings and the scallps at the bottom. The yellow is so saffron from SU and the ribbon is from SU also.

Tooting my own horn.

I hope you don't mind if I toot my own horn here. My card was used for one of the banners for All That Scraps! I am so giddy and just wanted to share. If you want to see it in real life head on over to the front page of All That Scraps or for today only at SCS. I never dreamed this would happen to me!

Here is another card using Olivia and her Birdies. How cute are they? I used sahara sand for this gate fold card. The left flap was done with my cuttlbug folder and the right side is SU dp. (retired I think) I used my nestabilities to cut out the focal image. The back scalloped piece is vellum sponged with chocolate chip. I colored this with my copics and airbrushed the background. The splatter was done with my color spritzer tool from SU. The swirl is from SU Priceless. Wide chocolate chip ribbon is retired SU. These sets are available at All That Scraps now! Head on over and order yours. We had so much fun at the party last night!

Today is the day! The All That Scraps release is tonight at 10 pm EST. There will be a release party at 8 pm so head on over there tonight and have some fun with us! I am sorry I didn't get back here to give more details. Life got in the way. There is a tutorial for the bag here on Cami's blog. It is so easy and if you have a scor-pal even easier! Information on the paper I used on the bag got lost. It is W R Memory Keepers. I think it is the Precious Metal line. Sorry I can't be more specific. I only had one sheet and it seems I accidently got rid of the strip with the information. The image I cut out with my long rectangle nestability die. I used my creat-a-cut (not available any more) to do the scallop edge on the border on the bottom and paper pierced it as well. The flowers were stamped on the strip and colored with copics.

The double pocket card was also easy peasy with the scor-pal. You can find instructions for it here at SCS. I used SU ginger blossom paper for mine. I paper pieced her shirt. All the coloring is done with copic markers. I paper pierced on the scallop edge and the piece behind Olivia. The round piece is SU hodgepodge hardware and the ribbon is SU as well.

It's finally here!

So what do you think? Isn't this set just the cutest ever! I have been bursting at the seams to show these to you. These stamps are from the new Itzie Inkies set Bear Hugs. If you look closely at the bear card you will also find some other new stamps from one of the other sets. Scenery get out of here! Copic markers were used to color both of these. Can I just tell you how great those markers are? I used my Y21 copic to color the SU white gross grain ribbon to match the cool caribbean card. I also used my sakura gelly roll glitter pen on the bee's wings. Click on one of the pics for a close up! How cute is that? The bee's heads were stamped twice and popped up to give them some depth.

The bear card has to be my favorite card to date. I had so much fun creating this for the button challenge last week! When the dates for release got moved back I couldn't show you. I was bummed, but here you are and I hope it was worth the wait. I decided I couldn't live without the copic airbrush system and I have used it both on the bee card and on the bear card. The bee's were just sprayed lots lighter. I used wire to do the stem for the bears flower. The heart bg stamp was used to do the cute background for the bear using chocolate chip craft and clear embossing powder. There are tiny buttons on the bears tummy and a couple of the flowers. I purchased these from a fabric store forever ago and finally used them. The ribbon is SU chocolate chip taffetta. Head on over to All That Scraps blog to see some more samples. Cute stuff! Check back tomorrow for some more fun stuff to tickle your taste buds and make you drool!

Maybe you would enjoy seeing a couple of pics of the sweet babe again! He is so much fun! He is growing so fast. I can't believe he is over 10 lbs already. I have to upload some pics and then I will show you a newer one. Enjoy!
Sorry for the lack of updates. All That Scraps experienced it's move last week and then they ran out of foam for the release. The release has been changed. The sneaks will start on August 7th now with the release party being on the 11th. Christine just wanted to have all the stuff in her hands before so she can ship those stamps right out to you! It will be worth the wait believe me! The Wednesday challenge was still done this week, but alas I used a new release stamp to do the challenge. My Granddaughter celebrated her third birthday and I didn't have time to do another to replace it.

So today is humpday for my son! He has served for one year today on his mission in Brazil! I am so proud of him! He has one year left and he is loving his work. He has had his frustrations, but has learned and grown from them all. You can check out his letters home here at Elder Jacob Rapp. Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities!
