Review ~ Umbrella Lula

Hi everyone!  I am back.  I got to go on a business/play trip back East with my husband.  It was super nice to have a break and have some play time.  We saw Wicked and The Lion King in NYC this year.  These are favorites from some time ago so we decided to see them again.  They didn't disappoint. We also decided to visit ground zero again since they opened the new monuments after we were there last year.  The waterfall pools are huge and absolutely stunning.   New things we did this year were going to Serendipity in NYC and going to Valley Forge and Long wood Gardens.  If any of you ever go to NYC be sure to go to Serendipity! If any of you have seen the movie Serendipity, they had frozen hot chocolate at the restraunt.  The frozen hot chocolate is amazing.  I would suggest a reservation first however as the wait can be super long without one.  We really enjoyed Valley Forge and the history of George Washington we enjoyed there.  He was an amazing man and so very obviously following what God led him to do.

Today I decided to play with Pam's idea of using the Curly Q border die to make it into flowers.  This was so fun to try.  I did mine a bit different than Pam did, but I love how they turned out.  I also used the Amy R So Wordy stamp to stamp on the umbrella.  To make it fit how I wanted, I just inked up one word at a time and then stamped each separate.

other:  Curly Q border die, Butterflies die, Leafy Branch die, sewing machine, thread, edge distresser, sponge, brown ink, memento tuxedo black, copic markers, white gel pen, stickles, Liquid pearls, glitter, jewel brads, paper piercer, ruler

Preview Day 2

I am so excited about today's post.  When I sat down to color this cutie, I realized that she has cute boots like my "chicken boots" I got for Christmas.  I needed some rubber boots to gather eggs in so I could leave them in the garage and not drag chicken stuff in the house.  My hubby got me black ones with colored polka dots!  this is why I colored her boots this color.  Hee hee It made me smile.  The rest of the team is previewing today as well.  Head over to the All That Scraps blog for a look and a chance to win stamps!

Preview Day 1

Here we go with April's previews already.  It is so hard to believe it is April.  I had so much fun coloring this one.  This is Rainy Day Birgitta.  I love how she is using a big leaf for her umbrella.  I colored it all up and then after it was cut with my die I dropped tiny drops of copic blender solution to look like drops.  I love how it turned out.  The umbrella is a new Umbrella logo set and there is a die to cut out the umbrella.  It makes it easy and fast to get the project done.

The rest of the team has previews going on over at All That Scraps so be sure to go over and also have a chance to win this cute stuff.

Glitterfied

I had so much fun playing with Jay Jay's glitter technique.  I usually use stickles because they are less messy. I think I am in love!! It wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be either.  ;)  I used the new C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie Ima Butterfly stamp with the matching Spring Logos set.

I also used the no black line method of stamping.  This is a first for me and took quite a bit of time to get it the way I wanted it to look.  I will definitely be practicing so I can use this again.  I love how it looks hand drawn.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed my creation.
