I finally have pictures of this huge quilt project! It is huge! It is big enough to hang way over the edges of a queen sized bed. I made one for my husband and I maybe 7ish years ago. It is so warm and we love it! When my daughter was married 4 years ago, I made one for her and her husband. Same size only theirs had tons of levi material on it. Can we say heavy? This one is for an x-future daughter -in -law. I love her to pieces and they already had the fabric bought and cut. How could I say no when she asked me to finish it for her. It will be shipped ups to her tomorrow! Woo hoo! I hope she loves it. I have been working on a card for the challenge at SCS today. It needs something so I will mull over it for a while. Hopefully later tonight or maybe in the morning I will have a pic of it up here. Enjoy the quilt! Many hours of love were poured into this one. ;)

What a beautiful piece of art! So by x-future DIL, that means an engagement was called off? Yeah, how do you say no if she wants you to finish it? I'm feeling like I need to crawl under a heavy quilt right now with my heat pad. Glad to hear MT was good. My parents used to live in Billings. I'm glad they're in Eastern Idaho now so that I can see them more--only 4 hours one way. I spent the weekend there with my family and it was heavenly. I stayed up way too late every night catching up with my sister from Cleveland. Happy day to you!
a quilter too...oh my i can see that we will have so much in common. I have about 5 quilt tops that are finished, just waiting to be sandwiched and quilted. thanks so much for sharing this beautiful quilt!
The detail on your quilt is beautiful!! What a lot of work you did!! Love your embosses snowman card too - what a great idea to emboss with the flashing - who wodda thought! I seen someone's site who had taken the foil off of instant Mac & Cheese and made an ornament out of it - amazing!
This quilt is beautiful. That must have taken so much of your time! I'm sure it feels wonderful to have it done. I'm sure she'll love it.
wow, this is just beautiful! Amazing how the hand-made stuff is so warm, isn't it? And the beauty is making it the size you WANT it. Treasured and loved, this is a wonderful work of the heart. I love it. I recently picked up my crochet hooks again myself, and have some afghan pics up on my blog, check it out sometime. GREAT job!!!!!
Fabulous! Absolutely a masterpiece. A great heirloom too. Looks so cozy too.
Gorgeous!!! Probably makes you wanna cry that it's not staying in the family!! (The quilt OR the sweet girl! I made a levi quilt for DH many many moons ago as a tribute to him building our house. I used all the jeans he wore (paint splatters, roof tar, rips and all!) as he built the house, so it made it extra cool. I broke my sewing machine doing that quilt and haven't done another since! I'd love to do it again if this darn stampin' didn't take so much time!
The quilt is just gorgeous! You did a wonderful job on it. :0)
Very pretty! You're very talented!
Oh, a fellow quilter!! Love it! You did such a good job. :)
This is beautiful and so sweet of you to do. I was learning to quilt for a while, but other things kept getting in the way. This is just so beautiful that I might have to try to make some time again!
