Ya, so I wake up this morning and no school. No it's not a snow day. It is so cold outside you would freeze in minutes! When I woke up it was -16 out but with the windchill it was -35!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say I haven't been out the door today. It is a whopping 4 degrees right now at almost 4:00 pm. I went to bed with a nasty headache and woke up with it this morning. It took half the day to get rid of it. I did stamp some. Nothing fancy, just one more of my hubby's many cards he requested. This one is for a guy though. For some reason masculine and I don't get along well. Give me flower stamps and I can go wild. I got this cute Papertrey Ink set for Valentines and thought it would be a cute Birthday stamp. It's called My Punny Valentine. I started with a creamy caramel base. The designer paper is from Stampin'Up! Sorry, I am being dumb and can't remember the name. I distressed the edges and then sewed it on. I did a layer of close to cocoa on the top and paper pierced around the edge. The sage shadow layer was put through my birthday folder in my cuttlebug. I used some caramel ink to sponge it a bit and make it stand out more. I used my nestabilities square dies to do the squirrel on. I inked him up in creamy caramel and then rolled the stamp in chocolate chip. I sewed around the edges of the square with my sewing machine. I added jute twine and pewter jumbo eyelets. Hope you like him.

Hi there - hope you're staying warm - that is unbelievable - 35 degree weather - I remember those days hailing from Canada - and needless to say I am so glad to be here in Texas!! Love your card that you made - your stitching is impeccable! I am always lovin every card you make! On another note - I went to google reader today and signed up all my SBS1 buddies so whenever anyone posts new work - it shows up all in one webpage and I don't have to hop around seeing who's done what - I'm loving it! Anyway hopefully warmer weather will come your way soon!! :)
I love this card!!!! It's adorable!
Super cute! Love that papertrey set - it will be good for other holidays too! I think you did an awesome job for a masculine card!
Oh my that is cold. Stay warm. Love the card. Have you joined SBS1 yahoo group?
Brrrrrrrrrrrr! Your card is adorable. :0)
WHat a darling lil squirrelie!
I'm very glad to only deal with 5 degrees. And I was complaining! Your card is very pretty. Love the little squirrel and the brads add such a great touch. I think I need to do the google reader I see Marilyn writing about. I can't keep missing these great cards!
Stay warm!
This card is sooo cute! Love it!
Oh I can sooooo empathize with you on the coldness--it's been in the single digits off and on for the last 2 1/2 weeks!!! Our washing machine pipes keep freezing and the wind is SO bitter cold!
On a MUCH happier note, your card is DARLING! Absolutely Luv that sweet lil squirrel. Your work is always beautiful! Can't wait til I've got a couple Elders of my own out in the mission field so I have a bit more time to create. Right now I feel like a human taxi!!!
Have a wonderful weekend!!!
He's so adorable! Thanks for sharing!
