I finally finished my card. This one took forever because I would work on it for a while and then life kept happening! It felt good to be creative last night and I love how this turned out. I wanted non-traditional Christmas colors. I decided to go with Blue Bayou and Groovy guava. I love the way this looks! It is so stinking cute! I started with my blue bayou base and create-a-cut scallop blade. I only used it on top. I stamped my cute lil polka dot background stamp in blue bayou. The next layer is groovy guava with my paisley background stamp with groovy guava ink. I pierced the left side with my paper piercer. I scalloped a piece of blue bayou designer paper and after attaching it added a piece of yummy groovy guava double stitched ribbon. It looks like a creamsicle! My stamped layer is on Stampin'Up! watercolor paper. I stamped my Baby Jesus is Born stamp with basic gray ink! I love this stuff, it is the new black! ;) I water colored using ink in my ink pad lids. I used groovy guava, blue bayou, soft sky, night of navy, creamy caramel, pretty in pink, bordering blue and chocolate chip. I stamped my swirl from priceless in the left corner with blue bayou. I pierced the edges and stitched it with linen thread for some texture. I used my scissors to rough up the edges and distress them. My new favorite punch, the photo corner punch, was used to do a piece of groovy guava and then I put it under the watercolor piece. It is stamped with the paisley background stamp as well. I used dimensionals to pop up the image to add more dimension to the piece. I think this is an adorable Christmas card and I hope you enjoy it!
