Wednesday DT challenge ~ White on White

The challenge for today is white on white. You were allowed to have color on your focal image only. I chose to use my cute lil bear from my C.C. Designs Itzie Inkie set Bear Hugs. It is so much fun to drag out and older set and play! Grin. The sentiment is from Amy's friends sentiments. Coloring was done with copics: E31, E49 and W1. The airbrushing was done with E42. Buttons are Basic Grey. The ribbon, buttons, and stamp sets can be purchased from All That Scraps. I used my sew mini for the stitching. Cuttlebug pin dot folder was used for the dry embossing. Spellbinders Nestability Classic Scalloped ovals and Classic ovals were used for the shapes. Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities!

ATSDTC41 Ribbon~Use tons of ribbon

I have a lot of information for you today. The challenge is to use lots of ribbon. This challenge was super fun. I also made a smallish tutorial for doing the paper piercing on the spellbinders nestability template shapes. I will start with my card and then show you how to do the piercing.

I used kraft as my base. It is embossed with my pin dot folder. The designer paper is Basic Grey porcelain series. Very pretty stuff! I used copic markers to color my bunny and for the airbrushing. (E41, 42, 50, 51, 74, 77; R81, 83, 85; G94, 99; BG93) Details were added with atyou spica clear, Inkssentials white opaque pen, and cotton candy stickles were added to my prima flower. The ribbon blossom tutorial can be found at SCS.

For your supplies, you will need a foam mat, paper piercer and your Tim Holtz ruler. I use my lines on the ruler to see where I want to line up my holes. The line is what you use to keep the holes even. Start by punching your first hole. The key to success on this is to keep the piercer in the hole at all times. When you turn your ruler to keep the line lined up always keep the piercer in that hole. Move the ruler to keep it evenly spaced from the edge.

You keep moving the ruler as you go around and then when you get to the end make sure your last two holes are evenly spaced. It usually works out that your hole is exact but sometimes you have to adjust just a bit. Sorry the last pic is a little blurry. It was really hard to punch and keep my hands out of the way for pics. I hope this explanation is clear.

If you have any questions feel free to ask! Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities!

Shades of Green ~ ATSDTC40

The challenge today over at All That Scraps is to use Shades of Green. I tried to make mine with a St. Patrick's Day theme and it just wasn't working. Maybe it is because I used True Thyme for my green. Well I scrapped all my idea's and went with this. The papers used are True Thyme, kraft, Basic Grey's marrakech calming moon and masala bella. The little lamb up by my cute lil gingersnap girl was stamped on SU's shape of things stamp and then restamped on the paper to turn her around. I didn't want her facing the other direction. I used fun flock on my lambs so they would feel like lambs. ;) Swarovsky crystals were added to the centers of the prima flowers. The buttons are the Basic Grey matches for the marrakech paper. I used my heat tool to heat the ribbon and melt it so it would curl up and have some texture. Copics used: W1, W3, W5, E00, E11, E31, E40, E41, Y21, YR21, BG93, BG96, BG99 The Tag is my Spellbinders Double Ended Tags die template cut out and then airbrushed. Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities!

ATSDT39 Dry Embossing

Today is the Wednesday challenge and here is my card. I kinda cheated and showed the girls over at the All That Scraps release party on Monday night. Hanging at the party has its perks. ;) My base is really rust. I used some chocolate chip, soft sky and Basic Grey's gorgeous Marrakech paper. These two are calming moon, and cardamon. Aren't these colors fabulous? I used my new Gingersnaps Spring Things for this card. These images are so cute and there is a duck and lamb and flowers I haven't even used yet! Gotta get stampin'! The sentiment is from Amy's new friends sentiments. I love this set. You can do so much with one set! The images are colored with my copics. Her shirt is paper pieced. After I airbrushed the background the top part was run through my cuttlebug pin dot folder. I almost forgot the buttons are Basic Grey as well! You can get this Basic Grey paper, buttons and even brads all to match at ATS. I also used my nestabilities die templates! Love those things. Product # NEST-03 Classic Rectangles, Product # S4-137 Classic Scalloped Hearts. Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities! If you want to see what the other girls did head on over to the ATS Blog and you can see theirs as well. :)

Hunny Bunny

Isn't this bunny just the sweetest? I love the sitting stamps. So many possibilities, so little time. Sigh........... The colors are close to cocoa and mellow moss. I used an old retired piece of SU dp for the stripe paper. The brown flower was created using my new scallop heart nestability die templates. Product # S4-137 I am planning a tutorial using these some time next week so check back! I used my new copics in the E70's to color this bunny! I am so in love with these colors. They are so yummy! What is better than a chocolate bunny? ;) This set along with all the others that I have showcased for the past few days will be available tomorrow night! Come join us for the party!
