It's here...June preview time!

This is what happens when you get in a hurry and don't pay attention to what tool you are grabbing! Yikes! I was trying to get some design team stuff finished and accidentally grabbed my C plate. The good news is (if you can call it good news, I use this everyday), I broke it more on the end than in the middle. I think I can get by with it until I get a replacement. I spent time that I was going to use stamping yesterday looking for a new C plate. Wouldn't you know it? They have A plates and B plates but no C? One store didn't even carry Cuttlebug stuff! I know it, are they under a rock? Well Christine to the rescue! She carries them at All That Scraps! ( I Heartsher!) She is currently out of them but will get one to me as soon as they come in. I am first in line Christine. ;) On to the fun stuff.

Ladies (and Gents if you are out there) meet Layla! Isn't she just the cutest? I love her muchly! She has the fashion going on! I decided that she needed to be on a tall card. This card fits in a business size envelope. It kinda made it a little harder to get a pic of though. No worries, I took a close up so you could see her better. Mellow moss was used for the base. Chocolate chip and bashful blue are the other two card stock pieces I used on this one. I used my favorite go to embossing folder, swiss dots. I think it is going to wear out first. I used my sewing machine for some accents and create-a-cut for scallops. The brads are SU and so is the ribbon. I used my dew drops I got from All That Scraps. Do you likey? You can win Layla and her friend, Virginia, whom I am showcasing tomorrow, by going to the All That Scraps blog and commenting. Head on over there for some more sneak peeks from today.
Oh, I forgot to add that I used the cupcake image from It's Your Birthday, also a C.C. Designs stamp. It ended up looking like one of them giant cupcakes! Yummy! Well I am off to get all the Saturday stuff done. Take time today to enjoy the possibilities! Have a great weekend!

Amy's Friday Sketch Challenge

Here is my take on Amy's Friday sketch challenge. I used Summer from C.C. Designs. I haven't really had a chance to use this one yet so it was fun to play along. I water colored the image with my aqua painter and SU inkpads. The ribbon is SU. The card stock is bashful blue and perfect plum. I haven't used my plum colors in like forever.

So are you ready for the new release at All That Scraps? I am and I have been stamping like crazy the past few days to provide you with some sneak peeks of the new stamps. Hold on to your hats because the countdown begins tomorrow! You can also go to the All That Scraps blog and win new stamps so go check it out starting tomorrow!

Are ya ready for some stamping?

Get ready cause I am going to have fun stuff in the coming days! I received my new release stamps for June yesterday. You are going to love the new C.C. Designs! Until then here is a fun challenge that Christine issued us. She asked us to use 3 different ribbons on a card. I was still on a chocolate and pink kick. I used my C.C. Designs polka dot stamp with vanilla craft ink on the top and dry embossed with my paisley embossing folder on the bottom. The circles were cut out with my nestabilities dies. I distressed the edges. I used my glue pad to stamp the dots on the pink piece and then glittered it. How cool is that? Pink glitter is retired from SU. On Shari's (I love her!) glasses I used stickles and then the pink glitter on her bling ring! I had so much fun making this. I hope you enjoy it. Check out the All That Scraps blog later today to see some more samples of 3 ribbon cards. In fact, go make one and submit it. Starting on Saturday we will be showing samples of the new release stamps! Each day until the 4th you can comment on the blog and win new stamps. How cool is that? Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities!

Update on hubby

Well he saw the dentist today. They can't fix the root canal so he has to wait until June 6 (earliest appointment) to see an oral surgeon who will just pull the tooth. Then he will face an implant later down the road. Those babies are expensive. I just hope we can keep the pain under control for 2 1/2 weeks. Yikes.

On a happier note I want to share a cute pic of my Granddaughter in her new dress we bought for her while on our trip. She loves it and she looks stinking cute in it! ;)

Pink and Chocolate

We were issued a challenge at All That Scraps today for a mostly pink but you can add some brown in there to accent it kinda card. I haven't seen many posted yet and I am way late in my posting. My poor hubby has an abscessed root canal and I had to run to the pharmacy to renew his antibiotic. I hope he isn't in misery all weekend as they can't help til Monday. :(
So here is my card! I was inspired by one that Beate did. She always does incredible work! I used rose romance and chocolate chip for my colors. I decided since we had pink going on to use some prima flowers and scrunch them so they look like blossoms opening up. Does this tree look spring like or what? My ribbon is Stampin'Up! and the brad is from All That Scraps. The stamp set is the new owl set from C.C. Designs and the heart bg also from C.C. Designs was used to do the designer paper. I hope you like it. It feels good to stamp again. I missed it! I hope you all have a nice Friday and great weekend!

I am back

We had an incredible trip to New York City and Pennsylvania. It was nice to be together and have undivided attention for a few days. We saw Grease and The Little Mermaid this year for our Broadway shows. They were amazing. I think Little Mermaid was our favorite for this year. The costumes and set were amazing! Getting home wasn't as much fun. We missed our connecting flight in Minneapolis because of weather in Philadelphia keeping us from leaving. We didn't get home last night as planned. We arrived safe and sound this afternoon earlier than they were going to send us! Yippeee!!!! It is good to be home and I am off to vacuum and love on my Granddaughter! I hope to stamp tomorrow and get some pics up of our trip maybe later today! Have a great day!

This is Frankie! Today she is feeling fabulous in her coordinated outfit. The base is rose red. Various designer paper and paper piercing and sewing machine stitching finish off the background. Frankie was done using prismacolor pencils and gamsol. Her bracelet, the butterfly and Fabulous was glitzed up using my stardust gel pen. The butterfly is a rub on. To finish off her coordinated look she has glitter on her belt and glasses. Is she styling or what? Tonight at 11 pm EST there is going to be a release party over at the All That Scraps blog. Day 3 Sneak Peek

Meet Gwenny! She was inspired by a pic of a woman at the Eiffel tower that Christine found. Isn't she just styling? I used so saffron as the base and used my paisley cuttlebug folder at the bottom. The designer paper is from Ellen Hutson. I did faux stitching with my stardust gel pen on the blue piece. Gwenny was stamped in basic black and then paper pieced with the designer paper. I used versamark and clear embossing powder on the little stars then sponged over it. The rest of Gwenny was water colored with an aqua painter and the ink from my ink pads. I put a sparkly bling on her hair band. Up tomorrow you will get to meet Frankie. Head on over to All that Scraps and sign up to win one of these adorable stamps!

Day 2 Sneak Peek

Meet Shari! Isn't she adorable? I love her, she has to be my favorite diva in this set! The paper is a kit that Christine gave me to use with her as are the embellishments. We got a stardust gel pen as well. The tiny stars around her and her beautiful bling ring have the gel pen on them and they sparkle purty even though you can't see them well in the pic. You can purchase the paper and bling and Glam Girls at 12:01 EST on Sunday morning. Until then visit the blog for a chance to win these great stamps! Head on over to All that Scraps to check out the great stuff she has in her store! Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities! Check back tomorrow for a preview of Gwenny, our next beautiful Diva!
