Wednesday DT challenge~ Mini Pizza Box

The All That Scraps DT challenge this week is to make a mini pizza box! I love these boxes and they are so easy to throw together if you use your scor-pal! Decorating it took much longer! Giggle. The key point is that I had a blast and it was wonderful to spend my day creating! I used my new favorite color Riding Hood red along with My Mind's Eye Be Merry Christmas paper to create this delightful box. The stamps used were Amy's new Build a Holiday, Christmas Card Verses, and C.C. Designs, Sentiment Set (for the Thank you) and polka dot background. I wonder if Christine has noticed I use that polka dot background for everything? It is my favorite bg stamp! The lace borders were done with Martha Stewarts lace border punch. Buttons are SU. I put my white snowflakes through my xyron and then dumped dazzling diamonds glitter on them. I haven't decided yet who will get this gift set, but with the Holiday's coming up I am sure someone can use some cute 3x3 Thank you cards. Now click on the mini pizza box to find out how to make your own and then go post it at All That Scraps! Amy and Christine are always looking for someone to be a guest designer on the Design Team! It could be you. Have a great day and enjoy the possibilites. I could be scarce the rest of the week cause I am working on the new release stuff that starts previewing next week! If you are a fan of C.C. Designs, Cookie Crumbs and Stampin' Spot Studio, you won't be disappointed!

So cute!! I am not overly creative on my own. I tend to just copy things I see other people do. My current favorite is the test tubes filled with candy.

Amy's New Sets

Amy is releasing 3 new sets on Monday! I am so excited about these! The first set is a shape set that can be made into Christmas ornaments, tree's, reindeer, snowmen, presents and even poinsettias. The possibilities are endless! Next she has two sentiment sets that are huge and have tons of options. Christmas Sentiments and Christmas Card Verses. I had this flower pot sitting on my table and thought to myself, self you could cover this with paper and make a super cute way to package a fun baked goodie or even cocoa! How fun is this? I painted the edge of the pot with white acrylic paint. To get the pattern for the dp, I took a piece of paper and kinda scrunched it into the sides of the pot. I trimmed and kept working with it until it fit. I cut the paper from My Minds Eye and put a layer of modge podge on the pot and the back of the paper. I let it sit a minute and then attached it. After that was dry, I modge podged over the entire thing. The cute picks came from a flower arrangement I got eons ago. I just added them to the pot. The snowman was run through my cuttlebug 3 x 3 combo snow fun. I stamped the bottom two snowman pieces and then put them through the folder. I added stickles for sparkle. The arms were made with natural hemp twine twisted together until it stayed together and then glued on the back. Amy is releasing her sets on Monday the 27th so head on over to All That Scraps and get yours! The blog has other samples from the rest of the DT. Fun stuff! Congrats Amy!

Review Preview Friday

It's review preview Friday already! Where has the time gone? I absolutely adore this C.C. Designs Eric and Chrissy go prehistoric set. We are hoping that Christine will add some more dinosaurs! (Hint hint) It is super cute and you can use it for lots of fun stuff. I needed a birthday present for a two year old! He is in my nursery class at church and his number one love right now is fruit snacks! I decided to figure out a cute way to package his fruit snacks. I needed a cute box and looked through my stuff and found this template. Girls when you eat fast food, look at the containers as a template! This was an A&W container that had cheese curds in it! I carefully unhooked all the edges and then traced the piece on my papertrey kraft cs. I carefully cut it out just inside the line so I wouldn't have lines showing. It takes some patience but it was well worth it. After it was cut out, I scored it using my score pal. Easy peasy! I needed a window so the fruit snacks would show through. I traced and cut out a window and then added acetate for a finished look.

I stamped it and colored it with copics. Here is the fun part! Notice the cute yellow spew stuff coming out of the volcano? Hee hee, I had some clear cello filler from the dollar store but wanted it colored! Hello, can we say airbrush? I airbrushed it yellow and then taped a bundle to the back! I needed a nest for my bird at the top and all I had was colors that didn't match and then white. I used white curly ribbon and airbrushed some green and brown to it after curling it! Easy peasy and now we have a nest! Mr. Pterodactyl is taped to a piece of curled wire works to get him up above the nest.
Now guess what else? I get to give away the $5 gift certificate to All That Scraps this week too! Leave a comment on this post and tell us some creative ways you have used your stamping to package fun gifts. You have until Tuesday morning and then I will draw a winner! If you will leave an email address using words for dot and at in them I will email you if you win! Have a super weekend and enjoy the possibilities!

Wednesday DT challenge

Sorry I was slow getting this up. The card was done and pics were done, just a busy day yesterday. I paper pieced Christophers jammies and the stockings. Coloring was done with my sweet copics. I heartmy copic markers! I airbrushed the splatter on the tag. The "wallpaper" behind the fireplace was done with my swiss dot cuttlebug folder. The "carpet" was done with my C.C. Designs plaid bg stamp and versamark followed with clear embossing powder. Tomorrow will be another review preview and you will love what I did, so check back!

Review Preview Friday

Today we get to re preview Sugarplum Christmas! This set is so cute. There are many different combinations to use with the Christmas Scenery set. I love the add on of Olivia and Christopher in their jammies. For today's preview I used riding hood red for my 5 1/4" square base. It is the perfect match with My Mind's Eye Be Merry Candy stripes and Frosty flakes. I sewed around the edges and the frosty flake layer is punched with my Martha Stewart lace edge punch. The pearls are from Ellen Hutsons store. For my main image I used my oval nestabilities and cut a piece of chipboard. I coated it with my Tim Holtz Distress crackle paint old paper. I trimmed it with some vintage lace. Olivia and her tree were colored with copics. I added stickles for some glitz. Olivia has a tiny pearl button on her jammies. The snowflakes were punched with various snowflake punches and then run through my xyron. I lovingly dumped dazzling diamonds on them! Hee hee Gotta love the sparkle. The tag is a nestabilites die that I stamped with the sentiment from C.C. Designs Sweet Delights. The button is from the new SU collection! Pretty buttons! I used a copic marker around the edge of the tag to finish it and used linen thread on the button. Now for a chance to win the gift certificate, head on over to the All That Scraps blog and see who else is playing today so you can find which blog is doing the giveaway! Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities!

Wednesday challenge

Here is my take on the Wednesday challenge for today. Halloween Treats. I found these adorable marshmallow pumpkin at the dollar store. I saw a tutorial forever ago where someone made a package to go around a kit kat bar I think it was. I took that idea and ran with it. This uses a full sheet of black cs. I measured the package of pumpkins and then divided the rest in half. It ended up being 3" for each flap on the back. I scored at 3" on each side and then about a quarter inch away from the 3" mark. I used o' so sticky tape along the back seam and at the top and bottom to hold it closed. After I stuck it together I used my crimper to crimp both ends. Nestabilites were used for the orange frame. Because this was so wide with the black, my square couldn't be cut out with the nestability die so I just used an exacto knife. I used Spooky spooky spooky to stamp my lil dracula and bat. They are colored with copics. I used a white gel pen to add highlights. Dracula is mounted on pop up dots to give it some depth. The trick or treat is up on a pop up dot as well. After I cut the trick or treat with my small little nestability oval die I used a copic around the edges to give it the gray line. The ribbon is SU. Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities. The new stamps were released last night and Christine also added a bunch of new items to the store so go check it out! She has the cutest cupcake boxes!

Pumpkin patch and release party

These are my favorite pics from the pumpkin patch today. I had a hard time getting Mykl to cooperate so this is as good as it gets with her. Eastton did pretty good and seemed to be happy while we were there. I took a ton of pics to get a few good ones. We all got some pumpkins to bring home. Eastton's Mom and Dad even got a big pumpkin to do a photo shoot with him in it. I was planning to stamp today, but sometimes the Grandchildren are more important. I am glad I didn't miss this fun day with them. Tonight at 8:00 pm est. is the party over at the All That Scraps forum and the release is at 10:00 pm est. Come on over for some fun chat!

Eric and Chrissy go prehistoric!

This has to be my favorited set of this release! Oh my goodness. It is just so different from anything I have. There is a dinasour, lots of sentiments, a little volcano. It is so versatile. It can be used for anything boy or as you see here can be dressed up really girly. I knew I needed chocolate and pink for this one! I used pretty in pink and Die cuts with a view earth prints mat stack. It is colored with copics and airbrushed. The flowers have swarovsky crystals in the centers. I used stardust stickles on the bones and on her dress. The buttons on the right side are SU and they were a cream color so I airbrushed them to match everything else. The ribbon is from Michaels. Tomorrow night is the release party! You can find it over here at All That Scraps. Check out the blog today to see more cute stuff done with this set. I woke up this morning to put another sticker on my missionaries chart. Woo hoo he is under 300 days! I am so looking forward to this next year. We will get a new baby grandchild in May and then our son will be home in Aug! I am so excited! Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities!

Meet Anabelle!

You have probably already "herd" that Diane has started designing stamps! She is already well known in the stampin world as cookiestamper. Here is my first try with her new stuff! I love this cow. She cracks me up! The set is huge and has tons of sentiments to use for almost anything. The set was screaming pink and black to me. I used regal rose, basic black and PTI white. The cow background (hers too!) on the card was stamped in versamark and embossed. I used a crazy stitch on my sewing machine and distressed the edges of that and the pink. Coloring is done with my favorite copics. I can't do anything without airbrushing anymore. ;) My favorite part of the card is Miss Anabelles dress! How styling is she? The little milk jug was found in my stash of this needs to be altered stuff. I think it was a creamer container. The only time I use creamer is when I make our homemade cocoa mix once a year or so. That is my best guess girls. Check your creamer Isle. I didn't ever get into town, but I have seen little mini cookies and thought those would be cute in the creamer bottle. This project was so much fun! Congratulations Diane on your new venture. This set as well as all the other sneek peaks I will be showing the next few days (along with yesterdays) will be available on Oct. 7th at 10 PM EST. The release party will be at 8. We would love to have you come and chat with us! Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities! I get to spend the entire day with my hubby! That rarely happens anymore! I am so excited.

Jen has her own stamp line!

How cute are these stamps? Jen Ofiana is launching her own stamp line! They are called Sadies and her stamp line is called Stampin' Spot Studio. She is launching 3 stamp sets. Each set come with a Sadie and and a sentiment to go with it. The bag came from PTI. I colored this with copics and airbrushed around it. The splatter on the tag is also airbrushed. She has some other adorable stamps coming out in the next few months so keep watching for more. I want to shout out a huge Congratulations to Jen! The DT has had a blast playing with her first creations!
I love fall and Thanksgiving, so this one has to be my favorite of her stamps for this month. The "frame" is the packaging from a wallet I bought for my hubby eons ago. It is a leather look with stitching around the sides. I figured it would make a cute lil frame for this Indian Sadie. I colored this with copics and the splatter is airbrushed. Pumpkin Pie and Cool Caribbean cs was used for this project. The ribbon is SU pumpkin pie. The buttons were purchased from a fabric store and have been in my stash for a long time. I used a nail file to rough them up. Her last Sadie for this release is a Birthday girl holding balloons. So stinking cute. Check out the All That Scraps blog for more samples with these cute stamps and for a chance to win these adorable stamps! Have a great weekend and check back tomorrow for some samples with Diane's new set Annabelle.

Wednesday sketch challenge

Before I get to business, I had a question about the pumpkin spice kisses. I had my daughter pick them up, so either Target or Walmart. I would imagine anyone who carries Halloween candy would have them. On to the sketch. I decided since it was Amy's sketch, I would use Amy's stamps! How cute are they? She has done a fabulous job with these sets and there is so much you can do with them. The designer paper is We R Memory Keepers, Precious Metal, coppered out-orbits. I used vanilla cs, chocolate chip and basic gray. The speckle on my vanilla was done using my E47 copic marker and my airbrush system. I used swarovsky crystals on the wasteband of the dress. Brads are making memories copper. The funky circles on the basic gray were done with my cuttlebug folder. Come over to All That Scraps and play along with us! Come back Friday as we are starting the new release sneek peaks for October! Cute stuff you won't want to miss! Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities!
