Playing with the new Presto Punch!!! This machine is super fun!

This is not the best pic, but I finally got to meet Jay Jay! She is a doll. We had a couple great chats. Her work is fabulous in person!!! Oh my goodness this girl can color. Mwahhh, love ya Jay Jay. I met Debbie Olson, but unfortunately didn't get a pic. She is such a sweet lady and we were so excited to finally meet each other. I adore her work and she is such a genuine nice lady. I will put a few more details and bits and pieces up as time will allow. The next two days are crazy busy for me. I had a fabulous time. I worked hard and feel good about the memories we made. Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities!

I am introducing Spellbinders™ S4-251 Big Scalloped Ovals LG and S4-252 Big Scalloped Ovals SM die templates.

clip_image002[1]

Supplies:

Spellbinders: Wizard™, S4-251 Big Scalloped Ovals LG, S4-252 Big Scalloped Ovals SM, S3-148 Tags Trio, I2-1006 Floral and Stone Impressabilities™.

Paper: My Mind's Eye Penny Lane Free Bird "My Friend" and "Peace, Core'dinations Whitewash Collection and Chocolate Collection, and pearl textured cardstock.

Ink: Clearsnap, Colorbox Creamy Brown Fluid Chalk Ink, Memento Tuxedo Black.

Other: Copic Airbrush System, Markers E41, E42, E44, YR0000, E00, BG10, BG11, BG72, E08, E09, W00, W1, W3, W5, Sparkle-N-Sprinkle Sparkling Snow glitter, Creative Impressions pearls, JustRite Special Occasions 15 pt. font and block, C.C. Designs Swiss Miss Rosalie, sewing machine, white thread, Michael's ribbon, lace, crochet thread, needle, mat, paper piercer.

The card measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4". I started by cutting my cream cardstock 10 1/2x5 1/4" and folding it in half. The chocolate piece measures 5 x5" and the designer paper measures 4 3/4x4 3/4". I attached the chocolate piece to the designer paper in the center using a little bit of adhesive. I sewed crazy style around the piece two times and then pulled the threads to the back. The piece was then adhered to the cream piece.

clip_image003

The red frame was made by placing S4-252 Big Scallop Ovals LG #5 (with #1 being the smallest) and S4-252 Big Scallop Ovals SM #4 on my Magnetic Spacer Plate making sure it was evenly spaced. Cutting Sandwich stacked from the bottom up: Master Mat, Magnetic Spacer Plate, die templates cut side up, paper, Master Mat. Feed this through your Wizard™. Then hold your finger on top of the paper to keep the die templates from moving and slide the Magnetic Spacer Plate out from under the die templates and cut paper. Add your Tan Embossing Pad on top and place your Master Mat on top of that and feed it through your Wizard™ a second time to emboss the edges. It will look like this when finished.

clip_image004

After it was cut and embossed, I lightly inked the edges with my brown ink to distress.

clip_image005

The next step is to cut/emboss the teal piece. The sandwich for embossing it is (from the bottom up) Master Mat, I2-1006 Floral and Stone Impressabilities™, paper still in the die template with the cut side up, Tan Embossing Mat, Master Mat. Feed it through your Wizard™ .

clip_image006

Lightly sand it with a sanding block to bring out the detail of your embossing.

The next step is to do the paper piercing.

I used my ruler with piercing holes, and aligned the cut edge of the die cut with a measurement that was 1/8" away from the line of piercing holes in the ruler. Using this ruler helps me keep the holes equidistant apart.

clip_image007

To make a line of holes along the curved edge of the die cut, rotate the ruler while the piercing tool is in the ruler. The ruler pivots but the paper doesn’t move. Keep moving along the edges until you have pierced all the way around. You may want to practice this technique first! (The two white pics are just to show you how to get the effect and are not a piece of this art.)

clip_image008

The next step is to stamp and color your image and make your tag. I used SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVES by 3L, 3D Foam Squares to pop up the frame on top of the stamped image after it was colored and airbrushed. The tag is simply stamped, cut/embossed and then airbrushed while still in the die template. Add a little brown ink on the edges to distress.

clip_image009

A little tip to tie on the tag is to thread your crochet thread through a needle and then put it through the knot. Simply pull it through and then tie it off and trim the ends. Attach all of your elements and your card is finished.

clip_image010

For my second project I created another card using the S4-252 Big Scallop Ovals SM, S4-114 Standard Circles LG, S4-204 Fleur De Lis Pendants, and S4-213 Fleur De Lis Borderabilities® Petite die templates.

clip_image011

The designer paper I used is from Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage Collection. I used aluminum pop cans for my metal pieces on this project. Be very careful when working with the aluminum as it has sharp edges. It was cut, embossed and then pierced the same as my first project. After embossing it, I airbrushed the piece and then sanded it with a sanding block.

Still feeling yucky, so check back on details if you have any questions. I will give you a little. The metal piece behind Valentino is done with a pop can! :) How cool is that? Stamp will be available Monday January 4th at 12:00 am est.
I am holding off on the details for now as I don't feel so good. Thanks for understanding. Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities.
