Can I just say wow?

If this card took any longer to make, it would be fall instead of the end of winter. I made it and didn't like it so I took it apart. I got most of it done yesterday, but It took me all morning today to finally decide ok I like it now. I love these colors together and would probably never have even thought of them if it hadn't been for the color challenge at SCS last week. I started with a sahara sand base and put the right 1/4 of it through my cuttlebug swiss dots folder. (I love that thing!) The next layer is just dp from Stampin'Up! matted with black. I used my ticket corner punch for the corners and did messy stitching on the left side. The next layer is the one that gave me grief. I have tried like 10 different things with this and threw all of them away. I have stamped bg stamps, you name it. I finally cut the black layer with my trusty nestabilities rectangle scallop die. The white layer was cut with my regular rectangle die and then run through my paisley embossing folder. I sponged it lightly with sahara sand and then put stickles on the paisley's. I cut circles with my nestabilities circle dies. The sahara sand layer is sponged with sahara sand. The white layer was stamped with my true friend stamp in river rock. I added half pearls to this layer. The middle layer was stamped in black and then I put it through my xyron x upside down so the sticky was on the front and then sprinkled gawjus dazzling diamonds on it. The ribbon is from Michaels. The brads are from the styled silver hodgpodge hardware kit with half pearls glued to the centers. I hope someone is inspired by this as it took forever and I am glad it is done. It looks really elegant in person. Have a great night and enjoy the possibilities.
