May sneak peek number 1
Another month has flown by and it is new release time again. This set is so adorable. It is called A Hootin' Good Time. This stamp set will be released Sunday morning at 12:01 am. EST. The blog is going to have a release party and you can win the new stamps there if you are the lucky winner! I decided to make a book for my Granddaughter with this. It has blank 3x5 cards in it for her to color. She has discovered coloring is lots of fun. I started with 3 1/2 x 5 1/4 " chipboard. I covered it with SU designer paper. On the bottom of the front cover I used my new Tim Holtz Distress crackle paint (old paper). This stuff is fabulous and you can get it from All that Scraps. It has a brush in the lid and you just brush it on your paper and either wait for it to dry or if you are in a hurry, go over it with your heat tool! How cool is that? I used my paper piercer on the pink piece and my adorable heart bg stamp from C.C. Designs. I colored the images with my ink pads and aquapainter. I used dimensionals and popped it up to give it dimension. I can't wait to show you what I have made for tomorrow! Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities.

Fridays Sketch Challenge
Here is my contribution to Amy's Friday Sketch Challenge. I love this little penguin from C.C. Designs. He is so stinking cute. I added the cupcake from It's your Birthday (also C.C. Designs). The card stock is certainly celery, rose red, bashful blue and then designer paper from SU. I colored the image with my aquapainter and ink pads. The flowers are primas with bling glued to the middle. I used stickles on the balloons and cupcake to add sparkle. The cupcake is on a dimensional to pop it up. I hope you like it! I had a blast playing. It has been far to long. I will try to not let so much time pass before I stamp again. Life kinda gets in the way sometimes. Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities!

I haven't fallen off the planet
Really I am still here. I lost my internet for a few days. Can we say withdrawl? It was awful. I have been knitting like a wild woman for a few weeks as well. I hope to get something fun up tomorrow. I am babysitting today. Christine is showing us all the cute new stuff she is working on and I should have some new stamps from her in my mailbox in the next couple of days. I am so excited! Wait til you see the fun stuff she has been creating. I want to just run to my room and stamp!! I have let my Stampin'Up! demoship go into pending. I am kinda sad, but at the same time it gives me the freedom to play with whatever my heart desires. Believe me it desires lots of fun stuff lately. I will still buy from them. They have awesome stuff. Ok, I am rambling. Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities.

Amy's Friday sketch challenge
Wow! It's been a week since I posted. Sorry, needed some breather time. Amy gave us a sketch challenge at the beginning of the week and asked us to post Friday. She also challenged us to use this Beautiful Butterfly set from C.C. Designs. I used so saffron for the base and stamped it in chocolate chip with my linen bg. I stamped the swirl from Baroque Motifs in chocolate at the bottom then sponged the edges in chocolate. I used my edge distresser on the chocolate piece and used vellum cardstock in my swiss dots folder for the next piece. I sewed around the edges with my sewing machine. The next layer is a piece of designer paper that has the corners rounded and is sewn also. I used perfect pearls and paper piercing on the buckaroo blue layer then sponged the edges with chocolate. The butterfly was stamped with versamark and then clear embossed on very vanilla cs. I masked the butterfly and used my C.C. Designs polka dot bg to get the chocolate polka dots. The butterfly was glitzed up using perfect pearls and stickles. My prima flower was jazzed as well by using my white gel pen and a large eyelet from SU. I added a rhinestone brad to the center to finish it. I hope you like it! Have a super Friday and enjoy the possibilities!

Final day to see a sneak peek!
This has been such a fun week showing you all of these great new stamps. I hope you have enjoyed seeing new stuff. Christine has got some other tricks up her sleeve in the coming months and she shows us new stuff all the time. I think this set is so stinking cute. Gotta luv Lucky and Lulu and our favorite monkey. This is one of the nugget tins from Papertrey Ink. I put the teal ribbon around the lid using the sticky strip. The rest is pretty self explanatory. I used square nestabilities for the image and SU punches for the tag. The brads are SU as is the clip. I decorated up the presents and the teal one has glitter to make it sparkle. The orange ribbon is from Michael's and the teal came from a ribbon share. I used prismacolors and gamsol for the coloring. Cute huh?
For some reason I LOVE the MONKEY! Hee hee. He is adorable. I hope Christine does more with him cause he is just cute. We asked for banana's and she came out with 2. Here is one. This bag came from Papertrey Ink. I decorated it up using SU designer paper, my sewing machine, white gel pen and create-a-cut. Hodgepodge hardware is from SU. I colored the monkey with prismacolors and gamasol. Easy peasy and those m&m's are dark chocolate. Yummy! If any of these stamps I have shown this week interest you Christine will have them up for sale tonight or I should say in the morning at 12:01 am. You can get to her store by clicking here: All That Scraps. Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities!

Queenie!!!!
I am so excited to introduce you to Queenie! Isn't she just the cutest? Jack who you met yesterday is her main squeeze. When I saw this stamp, the thing that kept going through my head was when we fall in love and get married, we think it is going to be all romance. Don't we? So with that I wanted pink and brown my favorites and lot's of bling. Who says you can't have bling and clean? With that background on with the details. I got this metal frame at the $ spot at target like a year ago. I finally found the perfect project for it. Hee hee. I had a gift bag that had the pink flower design that I kept. I cut it up and it is the background for this beautiful piece. I modge podged it on (next time I will use the sticky strip though). I sanded the edges and sponged them with chocolate chip. The bottom is some leftover designer paper I had and scalloped the bottom with my create-a-cut. I decorated it all up purty don't ya think? I used my sewing machine and did some messy stitching and some zig zag stitching. The flowers are primas and the centers are dew drops. The ribbon is SU brown twill. The big brad in the center of the flower and the center of the bow is from All that Scraps. Stinking cute! I just used my prismacolor pencils and gamasol to color this piece. Notice the cute bow in her hair and her beautiful diamond on her left hand. The hearts and toilet brush are magnets. The hearts came with the frame and were red glitter. I put them through my xyron and put pretty in pink cs on it to cover up the red. I then ran it through again and used retired SU glitter on them. Aren't they just the cutest? K, I am done bragging on myself on this one. I just couldn't help it. I love this frame and will display it proudly in my stamp room! Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities. Oh, check back tomorrow when I will have birthday stuff to celebrate All that Scraps first birthday! Queenie and the birthday sets are my favs! ;)

My sexy handyman
Ladies meet Jack! How cute is he? I don't have tons of masculine stamps so when C.C.Designs came out with this set, I fell in love. This is a 4 piece set that has the nails on the right side of card, Jack, My sexy handyman and a hammer (not shown). This set would be awesome for Father's Day! I used real red for the base and stamped the nails down the right side with versamark ink. The second layer is random designer paper (sorry I don't have a clue where I got it or even what it is). I used brown pearl cotton and sewed the line down the left side. I pierced holes where I wanted the sewing with my paper piercer and my Tim Holtz ruler. Next I used a needle from my SU tool kit and sewed it by hand. The next layer is a 4x4" chipboard coaster stamped with navy craft ink and my just jeans bg stamp from SU. This is a retired stamp, but I am so glad I kept it. The next layer is chocolate chip embossed with a cuttlebug folder. The circles reminded me of washers. I stamped Jack on a piece of fabriano note card in basic black and used my prismacolors and gamasol to blend it. I sponged blue around him after it was finished and then brown on the edges. I doodled lines around for a frame with chocolate chip marker. I stamped my sexy handyman on creamy caramel, punched it and sponged it with chocolate chip. I layered a navy circle behind it and then added two brads that were hammered to give them a roughed up look. We are almost down to Friday! You can get this set for yourself Friday at 12:01 am. at All That Scraps. I am cooking up something fun for tomorrow! Stay tuned.
