Taking a step back

I am going to take some time to step back and see why I started this blog. For a long while I was climbing the top 50 list and now I am sliding back. I have had a rough summer and I haven't been here much. I realize you lose readers when you don't blog every day. I love blogging as it has given me a place to keep track of my stamping. I will continue it, but am wondering if I just like the comments. I have heard others mention this as well so I know I am not the only one. I am really doubting my stamping. I keep wondering if anyone really likes it or if I am just another stamper. I love stamping and will always do it, but am I just kidding myself? Hmmmmmmm......

I like your stamping and enjoy your blog. I have you on my google reader so when ever you post, I see it. Don't worry--enjoy blogland and who cares what others think. Post when you want and what you want.

Good luck. I enjoy your blog and realize it is a huge undertaking to post daily. I do not know how artists who are moms with 2 and 3 or more kids can post 2,3,4 + pieces of art each day.

I turned off my Top 50 and felt better. I also stopped killing myself to post something new every day. I stressed myself and convinced myself a card wasn't any good if I didn't get comments on it. I said enough is enough and am trying to balance my life and art.

I have you on my google reader too and love to see the creations you make.
I know it is lovely to get comments on your blog. I am always surprised at the amount of people who come and visit my little blog and actually take the time to leave me little messages.
The reason for my blogging is just to keep my family and friends up to date with where I'm up to and to share my little creative endeavours. I have made some really wonderful friends through blogging and I love to see what others are creating and sharing :) It really gives my hobby a sense of community being able to be in touch with many other wonderful stampers out there.
Sending you hugs and assuring you that you are not just "another stamper" :) really truly

I'm a google reader, too, so when you write, I read. I, like many other blog-readers have a bunch to read, so if you don't post everyday, no biggie. I think you should post when you want to, and not feel pressured! I do like your cards, and often save them to look for ideas later. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Lesa. I am not a blogger but I can imagine how easy it is to get caught up in it. Just yesterday I read this on someone's blog and it might be just what you need. I hope it helps. http://www.tartx.com/blog/?page_id=233

There are a gazillion of us out there clicking on blogs, checking out our old fav's, looking for new ones and I for one agree you need to do it for yourself not for us. I would even venture to say that because I read so many I have a hard time keeping up with the ones who do blog daily. You have a busy life with way more important family stuff going on so don't worry. Anyone who doesn't understand isn't anyone to worry about.

i had a ton of readerage(not a word but it works lol) when i first started out. its gone down now and at first that really bothered me not getting a bunch of comments but i blog for myself. i love having a record of what i've done and when. showing my creations is what i wanted to do, that's why i blog

I hope you decide to keep blogging... whenever you feel like it... I know it's hard... I feel the same, like I have to do it every day. I have to convince myself that it's OK not to post every day.
I know how hard for me to leave comments every time I see a card I like. There are days when I just don't have time for any comments. That doesn't mean that I don't enjoy the sites... We have to ask ourself why we started blogging...
Happy Stamping!
