Not ignoring

I am not ignoring you. I have had a crazy busy month. Throw the Holidays in on top of that and not much time is left to give you eye candy. Hang in there, I am hoping to be back to normal soon. Right now I am working on stuff for CHA and fighting a nasty sore throat. I will get there. Thanks for being patient. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and made some happy memories.

Did you see?

Spellbinders is on the hunt for their 2010 Design team! Can I just tell you as someone who has had experience with this fabulous company, go ahead and try. What do you have to lose? I will never forget the morning Stacey called me and told me I was chosen to be on the 2009 team. I didn't want to scream in her ear, so I stayed composed until I got off the phone. Hee hee The poor carpet cleaner, carpet layer and neighbor of my daughter got an ear full and I nearly scared them to death as my daughter was pregnant at the time. :) It still makes me smile. This company has been fabulous to work with and the memories I have made are priceless. Well, what are you waiting for? Go check out the details here at the Spellbinders blog and get to work on your entries.

Aren't these images just the cutest? I am in love! I have to tell you a funny. See the twigs sticking out of the snowmans head as if it were hair? New Spellbinders!

I kept telling myself I really didn't need these pumpkins or the vine. Ok, so I caved. I decided I better get them before I couldn't get them anymore. Sigh..... Yes I am a Spellbinders die template addict and I admit it and I don't want to recover. If you need these head on over to the Spellbinders website and grab yours up before they are gone forever. I challenged the girls over at the ATS Challenge blog today to do a Thanksgiving project. You can seriously win cool prizes each week, so go check it out and play along. Mine is a treat box. You could put these at your table by every one's plate. I didn't have time to get a Pilgrim boy one done, but you get the idea. I am addicted to the letterpress technique. I am crazy busy this week and next, but I will try and get a tutorial up for you. I have to go for now, but I will return and put up the recipe for this. Have a great day and enjoy the possibilities.

Boo!

It is Halloween and finally my turn for the Spellbinders and Tattered Angels blog hop. I am so excited to share my Halloween project with you.

This is just a simple scrapbook page, but with the Spellbinders and Tattered Angels products it turns simple into wow. The red piece is a mixture of Spellbinders and Tattered angels. I used a piece of thin chipboard and embossed it with my Spellbinders Flourish Impressabilities (I2-1009) in my Wizard. I spritzed it with gorgeous Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Red Velvet. After it was dry, I sanded it with a sanding block to bring out some of the chipboard underneath. The cat was done with Core'dinations black cardstock with red underneath. I used my Tattered Angels Vintage Seasons stencils called Halloween Hauntings and embossed it in my Wizard. It was then, sanded to bring out the red color. I think it turned out pretty cute. What do you think?

newsletter-lesarapp low resolution closeup copy

You will need copper flashing (from your home improvement store), Spellbinders dies, Impressabilities, Wizard die cut machine, Copic E49 and airbrush system, nail sanding block

stepshot 1 copy

Lay your die cut side face up on your magnetic mat, place flashing face down on top of die. Place white cutting mat on top of sandwich and run through your Wizard.

stepshot 2 copy

It will look like this when cut.

5

Lay your die with the flashing still in it on top of your Impressability. Make sure the cut side is up. Layer rubber mat and white cut mat on top of that and run through your Wizard.

6

Your metal piece will have the impression of your Impressability embedded in the metal.

7

Airbrush metal piece with your E49 copic marker and your airbrush system. It will look like this when finished airbrushing.
