Spring happy everything

I started with cool caribbean because I am loving this color and I am going to miss it! Guess I better stock up now! The card is 5 1/4 x 5 1/4". The pink layer is regal rose. It is punched at the top with the ticket punch and the side with the slit punch. Happy everything was stamped on whisper white and punched with my scallop oval punch and backed with regal rose. The caribbean layer is put through a cuttlebug folder and the bottom was the friends and flowers ss kit. I trimmed the bottom with scallop scissors and across the top it is pierced. The flowers were colored with my watercolor crayons on watercolor paper. I added star dust stickles for sparkle. The ribbon is Stampin'Up! wide white organdy. The little brad is making memories. TFL!

Elegant pearl ex wedding card

I am still playing with pearl ex for this class I have been asked to do. I decided to try something on white and decided a wedding card was what I wanted to try. I always have a hard time with wedding cards for some reason, but I kinda like this one. This is a 51/4 x 51/4 square card. I used whisper white as my base. I used my bone folder to score using a ruler along the edge. The slit punch was used for the scallop using my friends and flowers simply scrappin kit. I used my giga and mega scallop square punch for the watercolor piece and the simply scrappin piece. I stamped the wedding cake image from my fairy tale wedding set with black onyx versafine. I water colored the scallops and flower with cool caribbean. I used my future floor finish in my aqua painter to frost micro pearl on the cake image. I stamped my swirls from doodle this in versamark and embossed with clear ep. I layered with the micro pearl ex and future floor finish for a pearl finish on the swirls. After my image was dry I sponged cool caribbean around the edges and used stamin dimensionals to pop it up. I used the Stampin'Up! wide white organdy ribbon and caribbean grosgrain ribbon to make the bow. When it was all together I carefully put crystal effects on the cake and glued on the pearls. I also added a caribbean prima flower with a tiny white prima in the center and glued a pearl into the center of the white flower. TFL!

Elegant pearl ex

I need a doodle card for a class in a couple of weeks and I am playing with this one. They want to learn how to use pearl ex with future floor finish in a aquapainter. This is an idea for it. I used a square fabriano note card, au chocolat paper, and chocolate chip cs. The chocolate chip layer is stamped first with very vanilla craft ink and then pearl ex was applied with my aqua painter. I used super russet and micro pearl for my pearl ex colors. I stamped my flowers on a flubbed piece of fabriano notecard and watercolored with ink in the lids of my stamp pads. I used chocolate chip, really rust and apricot appeal. I put the micro pearl in the center of the flower and then put dots on the center with my signo white gel pen. I pierced the four corners of the chocolate piece. The ribbon is from Jody's ribbon share. I stamped versamark on the notecard and embossed with clear ep. Simple yet elegant! Thanks for looking.

Missing for a couple of days

Sorry I haven't been around much. Spring has sprung and I have lots on my plate right now! I am working on a couple of things. I will try and get something up soon! I have been asked to do a class with pearl ex and future floor wax. The stamp set chosen is doodle this! I am happy because it is one of my favs right now. I have a few ideas floating through my head, but not much stamping time as of late. Check back!

Oh baby!

This card started with a square fabriano notecard. I cuttlebuged it with my swirl embossing folder, I swear to you that I have others, this is just my favorite! It was sponged with old olive and chocolate chip. At the bottom, it was only sponged with chocolate chip and then stitched with a chocolate chip marker. The ribbon is random, I think Walmart. My next layer was too stinking fun! I read a thread here about puting your lightweight coasters through the embossing folders. I had to try it and it ended up on here. I sponged it in chocolate chip and stitched around the edges to match the bottom of the card. I used my oval punch to make the tabs on the side. Mr. Giraffe was stamped using my new versafine onyx black ink pad! This is an awesome pad especially if you are going to watercolor. Just let it dry and no running with the ink! I used my sizzix die for the corners and white gel pen for the dots.

Very wild baby card!

Ok, so this is just about the wildest baby card I have ever seen! The ribbon that I found at Michaels was my inspiration for this card. I started with chocolate chip cs as the bg and stamped it with flannel plaid in white craft ink. I did the bottom border with my simply scrappin friends and flowers kit. The cool caribbean piece was put through the baby folder in my cuttlebug and then sponged with chocolate chip ink. The giraffe (don't ya love him?!) was stamped in basic brown on watercolor paper and then watercolored. The word stamp from wild about you was inked with my chocolate chip marker and stamped by the giraffe. I also used the marker to doodle around the edges. Pumpkin pie cs was cut out with my mega scallop punch and then sponged with chocolate chip. I put a brown polka dot organdy ribbon bow on Mr. Giraffe with a glue dot. Stickles were added to the centers of the flowers.

I stamped sort of!

I actually had already water colored my image on Stampin'Up! watercolor paper. I was just trying to figure out what to do with it. Here it is. Buckaroo blue was put through the bisk to make the paisley background. I sponged chocolate chip ink on it to make it stand out more. Chocolate chip craft was used on the edges. The polka dot paper is from the Au Chocolat paper in the spring mini catalog. I layered the stamped image with so saffron and chocolate chip. The ribbon is from Jody's ribbon share. The scallops up the side were done with the polka dot stamp from the polka dots and petals spring mini set. I used my Stampin'Up! tool kit to pierce the top left and bottom right corner of the image part.

I am getting all the paperwork done to send in my son's mission papers. He is going on a two year mission for our church. We have spent the last few days doing Doctors appointments and gathering information for his paperwork. We have it almost all finished up. Hopefully in the next few days, I can get back to stamping! ;) Have a great night!
