Ok so my catalog finally came! I got so impatient that I found a demo on the bottom of our state yesterday and asked her to overnight me one. Wouldn't ya know as soon as I started showing impatience it would come. If I had known I would have had a demo from another state send one! Last night a demo from across town called and said her pre-order came. I went and snatched one up from her last night! Now I have 3, two for me and one for Mom! I am a happy stamper. I love the catalog! In the 10 years I have been in Stampin'Up! this is the most beautiful catalog ever. I love the layout. I love the freshness of it. Woo hoo! Now I can relax and get back to stamping! Have a great day everyone and enjoy the possibilities!

Baby zebra

This is a 4 inch square gift card. I started with a sahara sand base and put it through my embossing folder in my trusty cuttlebug. I sponged the edges with chocolate chip. The second layer is chocolate chip distressed around the edges. The next layer is soft sky stamped with chocolate chip. I used background sampler for the stripes and in the spotlight for the dots across the bottom. I used my paper piercer to do the design at the top. The scallop oval was used to punch out chocolate chip and whisper white. I used blender pens and pooled ink in the lid of my inkpads to color with soft sky, creamy caramel, pretty in pink and bordering blue. I cut out the head and body and mounted on dimensionals to give him some dimension and used my paper piercer for the scallops. I got my velvet ribbon at Michaels and it ties the gift card shut. Simply Cute!

Guava Pick a Petal

Oh I love this set! I am still sad they are retiring cool caribbean but hopefully I have enough stocked up til I get sick of it! I started with groovy guava as my base and stamped it with my paisley bg stamp in chocolate chip then sponged the edges. The next layer is cool caribbean roughed up around the edges. Chocolate chip was put through my very trusty cuttlebug (did I ever tell you I love my cuttlebug?) in my swirls embossing folder. I sewed it to the caribbean layer. I stamped my petals in groovy guava on groovy guava paper and then did the outline with chocolate chip. For the center of the flower I used my cuttlebug again and cut out a flower with my flower dies from cuttlebug. I punched a piece of chocolate chip with a circle punch and stamped the center with polka dots and petals and used stickles to give it sparkle. I then added a rhinestone brad from Stampin'Up! in the center and put chocolate chip dots around the flower. The ribbon is from Jody's ribbon share. Easy peasy and oh so cute!

Sincere thank you

This card was created for a dear friend. She did something absolutely amazing for our family and we wanted to do something special for her. I hope she likes it!

I started with a pretty in pink base and used my textile cuttlebug folder on it. I sewed around the edges with my sewing machine. The next layer is chocolate chip distressed around the edges with my scissors and the dots are done with my signo gel pen. The stamped layer is whisper white stamped with chocolate chip linen bg. I added pretty in pink flowers with chocolate chip centers and a beautiful chocolate chip swirl. The motifs were done with regal rose, cut out and dotted with chocolate chip marker. The centers were cut out with my spring bouquet flower punch and then put on dimensionals at different levels to add more texture. I used my wonderful pretty in pink brads to finish them. How come it took me so long to get some of these? The piece is finished with a piece of rose gross grain ribbon. Thanks for looking and enjoy the possibilities!

A very cool snowman!

Can I just tell you how excited I am? I was at my local LSS and they finally have this folder for my cuttlebug! I got it 40% off to boot! I started with a chocolate chip 5 1/4 inch square. On the right side I stamped In the spotlight hostess set in white craft, and on the left I stamped hounds tooth in chocolate chip ink and embossed with clear ep. The blue layer is the new soft sky cs from Stampin'Up! run through my cuttlebug and then sponged with chocolate chip. I then added gel pen and also ran it through in chocolate chip and whisper white cs. I cut out pieces and then glued them on. The snowman is enhanced with markers and bling for buttons. I cut out snowflakes with my cuttlebug embossing folder. The bottom is done with my create-a-cut and sewing machine and signo gel pen. I finished it off with polka dot organdy ribbon! I love this embossing folder it's too stinking cute! In the spotlight looks awesome as snowflakes. Thanks for looking! Have a great evening!

My husbands fathers day card

This is the card I gave my husband for Father's Day. I am really not loving the new river rock. I will keep trying, but until then it is sahara sand for me. I started with a sahara sand base and stamped it with my linen bg stamp in chocolate chip. The edges were sponged with chocolate chip. The designer paper layer is from spring flowers designer paper from Stampin'Up! I sponged chocolate chip on that layer too. The next layer is just plain ole chocolate chip run through my cuttlebug embossing folder. Can I just tell you how much I love my cuttlebug! The next layer is sahara sand sponged with chocolate chip and my baroque motifs swirl stamped in chocolate chip. I punched sahara sand with my square scallop punch. I stamped the motif with versamark and embossed with copper embossing powder. The center is chocolate chip cs punched with my 1/4 inch circle punch. To finish it off I sponged with guess what? More chocolate chip! I think chocolate chip is the new black! I used jute twine and copper cording to tie around the middle. 3 Purty copper brads finished it off nicely. He seemed impressed! I stamped the envelope to match. Have a great day!

Pick a petal, polka dot, paisley delight!

I have had the card base sittin on my desk for weeks wondering what to do with it. I finally figured it out and I really like the result! I started with a bravo burgundy base, sponged chocolate chip around the edges and faux stitched across the top. The buckaroo blue layer was put through my cuttlebug and wonderful paisley plate. I sponged chocolate chip to help the paisley show then used my gel pen to add dots. This piece was zigzagged with my sewing machine to the base. I stamped my petals with bravo burgundy and used chocolate chip marker in the centers. Stickles were added to the dots. I mounted them to chocolate chip cs and used my scallop scissors to cut them out. The polka dot posies center was done with buckaroo blue, bravo burgundy, and gel pen and chocolate chip marker then sponged with chocolate chip. After I finished it, I cut it out with the scallop scissors. The stem was made with a twisted piece of chocolate chip cs and the leaves stamped in chocolate chip. The thank you piece was stamped with chocolate chip, buckaroo blue and the flower cut out and sponged with chocolate chip adding a brad in the center and a sparkle bling. I added a rhinestone ice brad to the center of the big flower. The ribbon was purposely put on at an angle. I used chocolate gross grain and cranberry stitched ribbon. Thanks for looking! Enjoy!

Copper Motifs

I saw this color combo at SCS and had to try it. I started with a square so saffron base and scalloped the right edge. I used my linen bg stamp to add texture in chocolate chip! I matted the groovy guava layer with chocolate chip. I used my textile embossing folder and then sponged chocolate chip around the edges after distressing them with my scissors. Three copper brads were added as well. The chocolate chip layer is stamped with versamark and then embossed with copper ep. The top right corner is paper pierced and the motifs added were embellished with rhinestone bling. I finished the piece off with chocolate chip gross grain ribbon. Thanks for looking and have a great night!

I loved the swirl the minute I saw this set, but it didn't push me over the edge to buy it. I wisened(is that a word?) up just in time to be inspired by Debbie Olson here:http://debbiedesigns.typepad.com/mus...ew_rubber.html I also used Beate's gate fold found here:http://beate.blogs.splitcoaststamper...card-tutorial/ Of course they are the queens of stamping so theirs is better! ;) I love both of their work.

I used blue bayou as my base and layered it with soft sky which was stamped with soft sky and blue bayou. I added stickles on the flowers and on the swirls ends. I scalloped the edge of the left side and paper pierced around the edges making it into faux stitching with my white gel pen. I used my scallop square punch and sponged the edges. There are stickles on the motif as well. On the center round one I inked it in sky blue and rocked it in blue bayou. I punched it with a circle punch and added a blue bayou mat with a slightly larger circle punch. Stickles was added for sparkle and then a beautiful blue rhinestone brad from Stampin'Up! These are so pretty in real life! I used a piece of organdy ribbon to tie my gate fold shut. Enjoy the possibilities!

Elegant Baroque Motifs

This set is so easy to get sophistication without lots of work! I am in love. I wanted simple but elegant. I started with blue bayou as my base for this 5 1/4" square card. I paper pierced the corners and stamped the elegant swirl with blue bayou. I did a layer of chocolate chip paper pierced across the top and scalloped on the bottom layered with Au chocolat dp sponged around the edges. I used my scallop oval punches for the chocolate chip layer and fabriano layer, elegant and textured to perfection. I stamped the big design with chocolate chip craft and embossed with clear ep. I stamped the small piece with blue bayou and punched with a small circle punch. I added square close to cocoa eyelets and put them at different levels with dimensionals. I finished off the paper piercing theme by piercing the scallops. To finish the whole picture I used organdy ribbon in creme. Thanks for looking!

I started with a blue bayou base and stamped it with sahara sand and my linen bg stamp. I am not getting into the river rock yet too much green in it! I layered my soft sky layer with a layer of sahara sand. The soft sky layer is stamped with sahara sand and my linen bg stamp. The images were stamped with sahara sand and blue bayou. I used a blue rhinestone brad in the center of the big piece. The corners were done using my corner die cut and my cuttlebug and spring flowers dp. I added a bow with my twill tape. Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Itsy bitsy teeny weeny guava polka dot kitty

Well most of it rhymed! I got to use my zoofari kitty. I wanted it to be simple so I tried to make the layout look wow with a bit of simplicity. I started with groovy guava as my base and stamped the little circle dots from itty bitty backgrounds in guava. I put a strip of soft sky scalloped with my create-a-cut. I stamped it with soft sky polka dots from my papertray set and finished it off with my signo gel pen. I punched a scallop circle and put it through my cuttlebug folder. I Heart Eyes my cuttlebug! I sponged the edges with guava for more definition. My kitty layer was stamped in black on watercolor paper from Stampin'Up! I watercolored him with guava, soft sky, and creamy caramel. The sweet was punched with my cuttlebug stamp die with chipboard covered with guava cs and stamped in guava as well as sponged with guava. I used a prima flower with a tiny sparkle bling in the center. The ribbon has a green cast to it and came from Jody's ribbon share. I decided that soft sky has a green cast to it as well. I hope you like my cute lil polka dot kitty! Have a great weekend!

Cute lil Zebra

I love this little zebra. I used basic black as my base and roughed up the edges. The groovy guava layer is stamped in groovy guava with my ticking bg stamp from Stampin'Up! (retired). I added black stripes with my black pen. The white layer is cut with my create-a-cut and stitched on with black thread. I punched my scallop oval in black and whisper white and pierced each scallop. After stamping Mr. Zebra I colored his stripes with black marker. and then sponged the edge with guava. I found a perfect match prima flower and attached it with a vintage black brad. I did the too cute part with a chipboard coaster and my cuttlebug. I used the oval stamp die and attached with more black brads. The ribbon is a black striped ribbon and a peach color I got from Jody's ribbon share. Thanks for looking. I hope you like him! ;)

K so he was late!

It finally came! He was late but it finally came. I am loving these petals. I started with blue bayou as my base and used my create-a-cut on the bottom. I used my signo gel pen to do the dots. The next layer is chocolate chip embossed with my cuttlebug embossing folder and rounded with the corner rounder. I did a thin layer of blue bayou behind the whisper white also rounded. I stamped the beautiful petals with blue bayou and groovy guava. I used my aqua painter to put groovy guava on the guava flowers. These colors are so pretty! I used chocolate chip to stamp polka dots on the guava flowers. The blue bayou flower has a center made with chocolate chip cs stamped with chocolate chip craft ink and embossed with clear ep. I gave it glitz with stickles. I used copper brads on the right side and finished it with a piece of chocolate striped ribbon! Enjoy! I am loving the new colors. A couple of them are going to have to grow on me. Give me a couple of weeks and I will be loving them all!

40 minutes and counting!

Not that I am excited or anything, but my UPS man should be here in 40 minutes! I am sitting on pins and needles. I keep walking into the stamp room and looking at my table. Tried to stamp, but am totally not coming up with anything. New colors and stamps should fix that! We stampers are sick! Hee hee!
Waiting

Sorry about the lack of posting!

I tried all day yesterday and it wouldn't let me post it! Eeeeekkkkkk! This bug has thrown me for a loop I'll tell ya. I am kinda weak and still had issues yesterday. I hope it's gone. I am not sure how I feel yet today. I am really hoping when those stamps hit my doorstep that I can play! I will update later tonight if I can show you something fun!

Still have the stupid bug :(

Yes the bug is hanging on! I talked to my daughter this morning and they had it for a week. It won't be a week until Friday. I am just hoping mine doesn't last as long. The good news is I have a few new goodies coming from the new catalog that starts in July! I Hearts Stampin'Up! I couldn't afford much, but I got a variety pack of the new paper and a couple of the colors. I got two stamp sets while the demos get the discount. I think I am going to have at least one more though plus the rest of the colors. I can't wait to play, go away tummy stuff, I got stamping to do.

Got a bug and its not my cuttlebug!

My sweet granddaughter seems to have shared her stomach thing with me. Poor lil baby! Anyway, it lasted her about 5 days so I will take the weekend off and hopefully feel better soon. It isn't fun. I am sick of sprite and ice chips. Have a great weekend everyone!
