Review Preview Friday

It's review preview Friday already! Where has the time gone? I absolutely adore this C.C. Designs Eric and Chrissy go prehistoric set. We are hoping that Christine will add some more dinosaurs! (Hint hint) It is super cute and you can use it for lots of fun stuff. I needed a birthday present for a two year old! He is in my nursery class at church and his number one love right now is fruit snacks! I decided to figure out a cute way to package his fruit snacks. I needed a cute box and looked through my stuff and found this template. Girls when you eat fast food, look at the containers as a template! This was an A&W container that had cheese curds in it! I carefully unhooked all the edges and then traced the piece on my papertrey kraft cs. I carefully cut it out just inside the line so I wouldn't have lines showing. It takes some patience but it was well worth it. After it was cut out, I scored it using my score pal. Easy peasy! I needed a window so the fruit snacks would show through. I traced and cut out a window and then added acetate for a finished look.

I stamped it and colored it with copics. Here is the fun part! Notice the cute yellow spew stuff coming out of the volcano? Hee hee, I had some clear cello filler from the dollar store but wanted it colored! Hello, can we say airbrush? I airbrushed it yellow and then taped a bundle to the back! I needed a nest for my bird at the top and all I had was colors that didn't match and then white. I used white curly ribbon and airbrushed some green and brown to it after curling it! Easy peasy and now we have a nest! Mr. Pterodactyl is taped to a piece of curled wire works to get him up above the nest.
Now guess what else? I get to give away the $5 gift certificate to All That Scraps this week too! Leave a comment on this post and tell us some creative ways you have used your stamping to package fun gifts. You have until Tuesday morning and then I will draw a winner! If you will leave an email address using words for dot and at in them I will email you if you win! Have a super weekend and enjoy the possibilities!

I like decorating plain gift bags or boxes with pretty papers and stamps. It's fun to customize the presentation of a gift and have it match the card. :)

Such a cute project! One thing I like to do when I'm short on time is to stamp on tissue paper before it goes into the gift bag. It adds a more personal touch and is fast.

I love this idea! I really think I am going to use this for my son's birthday party favors. I think I will be making a trip to A&W sometime this weekend. Thanks so much for sharing this awesome idea!

So cute!! I am not overly creative on my own. I tend to just copy things I see other people do. My current favorite is the test tubes filled with candy.

This is the cutest gift. I like how you did it all. I have been trying to make gifts this way too.

Love this super cute project.

I've used:
a. french fry containers with kisses inside,
b. starbucks cup with coffee samples, stirers, GC, etc in the cup,
c. tins,
d. CD cases and
e. anything and everything there is to make a templet.

I even used the box my ink cartridges came in to make a small trinket box to hold a necklace... you name it, I've tried to re-use it!

It's just an extension of your creative imagination. Marilyn

Super cute idea!
I have used my ink cartridge refill packages as a template to create a clever little box for a cute necklace I found for my friend. She loved it! Marilyn

I'm not too crafty in packaging my gifts, but I have stamped my own wrapping paper. I prefer to use the tag punches to make my own tags. That's as far as I go.

I just adore how this came out! I cant wait to get this set!!!

Just using stamps to make 'tags' to cover over labels on neat boxes and containers - making them personalized.
Thanks for this great opportunity

Your gift set is adorable! I also like to make my own little boxes and decorate them with stamps! One of my favourite projects I made was a matching game. I made little cards using the stamps and a small box for it!

I always try to decorate my gifts with stamping. Could be the tag, the wrapping paper, the container etc. Lately I have been making mini pizza boxes to package jewelry.
