These are my favorite moments of today! How precious! The first one is of Eastton enjoying his paci. He really loves that thing. The second is Mykl holding her sweet new cousin. She loves him lots and fights with Grandpa to hold him. I happened to get this shot just as she leaned in for the loving! I love it. Don't you just love the hair! This one is going to be framed! Enjoy!

2nd time Grandma!

Our first Grandson arrived tonight at 5:07 pm. He was delivered by c-section. He weighs 8lbs. 3 oz and was 21 1/4" long. He has tons of hair! Our son is the proud Daddy. The second pic is of our Granddaughter meeting her cousin. Grandpa is holding him for the first time. His name is Eastton Seth. He had some problems with his breathing at first. It is common with c-section babies. They had him on oxygen for a couple of hours and that seemed to do the trick. He loves his pacifier. Welcome little Eastton!

The Wednesday DT challenge this week was to use glitter! This one was so easy for me cause I am a glitter girl! I used not quite navy textured card stock for the base. I stamped it with not quite navy ink and my C.C. Designs plaid background stamp. The next layer is cranberry crisp. I used my large long scallop nestabilites die to cut this out and then put it through my pin dot folder. I sponged the edges with cranberry crisp. You can get the long nestabilites at All That Scraps! I stamped Virginia in Pitch Black Adirondack ink. She was colored with copic markers. On her pants, I used my copic colorless blender pen to pull color. She has kind of a tie dyed, worn out jeans look going on! Stardust stickles (also available at All That Scraps) was used for my glitter. I paper pierced down the edges of Virginia and then added 3 swarovsky crystals. The ribbon is retired stitched ribbon from SU. Now go make a glitter card and then link it over at the All That Scraps blog! Come on, you know you want to! Winky

Here is my take on the Wednesday challenge over at All That Scraps for today. We were supposed to use background stamps. I had a doozy of a time getting the background stamped. I can't tell you how many times the slick surface slid and I had to redo it. I used my dragon fly from Froggie and Friends and my polka dot background (C.C.Designs) for this one. I stamped the background with white stazon. After water coloring my dragon fly, I used pearl ex on the wings and then perfect pearls when that dried. It is so shimmery. Now you go stamp something with a background stamp and share it with us over at All That Scraps! Have fun!

First stab at the copic markers. I think it turned out well. Now mind you I only have a few colors. I wanted to make sure this was my thing before wasting a bunch of money. I used E31,E57, R11, RV11,and RV34 to color her pants and shirt. I also had to try the coloring ribbon thing. Holy fun! I used white gross grain ribbon and just colored it on with my R11 marker. It absorbed really fast and dried quickly. The dew drops are colored with the copics too! I did have a bit of trouble trying to get it colored on the plastic. They aren't very big. I ended up coloring on cs and then punching with a circle punch and gluing it to the bottom with crystal effects. The rest of Hello Layla was colored using my prismacolors and gamsol. I also used my glitter pen on her tan part of her shirt. It sparkles so pretty! I hope you like her! Grin!

I am so excited! Today was a happy mail day! My dt stamps for July came today! Can we say stinking cute? Christine has yet again outdone herself. I also finally jumped on the copic bandwagon. I decided to see what all the fuss is about. I have studied lots of tutorials, blogs, SCS and finally decided that I would go with sketch. I looked at Debbie Olsen's favorite color combos on her sidebar and went with a few of those to start. I needed to be sure I even liked them. I guess I watched enough tutorials or something cause these things rock! I was a little nervous because over at SCS I heard that there is a learning curve and they were hard to work with. They blend so smoothly! I love them! I have my new stamps cut out and ready to go. I did a trial run with one stamp and the copics. Since I am going to have to get a few colors at a time. I used my prismacolor pencils where I needed a color I didn't have. It turned out stinking cute! I can't wait to show you these new sets. I am off to work on the Wednesday challenge and try to get something I can show you now. Have a super afternoon!

I also wanted to share a cute pic of Mykl last night. She is on a princess and tutu kick. She wanted to watch the Wizard of Oz, but Uncle Jordan was hogging the t.v. so Grandma rigged her own t.v. I love this girl!

This weeks Wednesday challenge is to do a gate fold card. I saw Debbi Olsen's adorable circle cards and had to play with the circle. I started with a sahara sand base and used my largest scallop circle die to make the gate fold. The designer paper is cut using a circle nestability die. I used basic black ink and then prismacolors and gamsol to do the coloring. Isn't he cute in blue green? I love how the froggie is holding the balloons with his feet. It helps him so he can hop faster since he is late! ;) I used stickles on the hat and the balloons. The balloons are popped up. The brads are from Making Memories and are copper. The ribbon is SU. The inside of the card says "Did I miss cake?"

Hello! I guess I am a little slow. Tomorrow is the Wednesday challenge at the All That Scraps blog! It is a gate fold card. Stay tuned for my version tomorrow. I have been working on some graduation cards for my hubby to give out and haven't had much me time for the stamping. Also Christine is having a big sale over at All That Scraps to get ready for new stuff! She has some great bargains so go check it out.

My husband had the "tooth" taken care of. He is now the proud owner of a screw in preparation for an implant. He has done pretty well with his healing. It has to be 10 times better than putting up with a toothache for a month. Poor boy! I guess the infection was pretty bad and they had to do some scraping to get rid of tissue and stuff that needed to be out of there. He is much happier now.

Have a great day and check back tomorrow for some eye candy!

Jennifer gave us a challenge to use Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, and Summer Sun in a card. Here is my take on the challenge. Isn't this turtle the cutest? I put stickles on his spots on his shell. He is so sparkly! I used the C.C. Designs plaid bg stamp on the Wasabi base. There is paper piercing on the Summer Sun piece on the corners. The star eyelets and Au Chocolate paper are retired SU. The chocolate striped ribbon is from a ribbon share with Jody. Froggie and Friends and Layla and Virginia are available now over at All That Scraps. Just wait til you see what Christine has in the works for us next month. I am so excited!

Tonight is the Party!

Tonight at 10:30 ET is the release party at All That Scraps! We are going to have a blast chatting and getting to know each other better while we wait for the new stamps to be released. Come hang out with us! I have one last sneak peek for today. This is a Tic-Tac-Toe board I made with my Froggie and Friends set. This would be so much fun for a child's party. If you made them assembly style, they wouldn't take long at all. Enjoy! Tomorrow we are doing a color challenge over at All That Scraps. Come play for that one too!

Day 3 Sneak Peek

Today you get to meet Froggie and Friends. I love this set. Christine did an awesome job designing this one. I used Gable Green as the base on this bright card. The number 3 on the embossing folder was glittered using sea foam green (retired) from SU. I used various punches for the tag. The cat tails are fuzzy! I used fun flock to give them texture. The orange piece was stamped using my polka dot bg from C.C. Designs and embossed with clear embossing powder.

This second one was done with a kit that Christine sent us. You can buy the kit along with the release on June 4th at 12:01 am. We are having a release party at 10:30 ET on June 3rd at the All That Scraps Blog! Last month it was a blast, so come and play along. On to the card. Isn't this snail just stinking cute? I love it! This set has so many sayings you can use it for almost any occasion. The two darker blue "ribbons" are part of the designer paper cut and then sewn on and dotted with my white gel pen. Enjoy! I am working on some cute stuff for tomorrow so check back! Have a super great Monday and enjoy the possibilities!

Meet Virginia!

She is ready for the 4th of July holiday! I love her adorable pants. Everything I used to make this card came from All That Scraps. (I cheated and used a blue flower and a couple white prima's to bring out my blue theme and play down the green just a touch.) Head on over to the blog and enter to win this adorable stamp! Good luck! Tomorrow will be a sneak peek of the new Froggie set. It is stinking cute! Have an enjoyable Sunday and enjoy the possibilities!
